People belonging to organized crime gangs are much more likely to be involved in street fights, as these gangs commonly use violence to control their territories and profitable business and to control their own gang members. Prostitutes, gamblers, hustlers, drug dealers and other individuals and organizations involved in semi-illegal illegal activities often become involved in street fights that are caught on tape.

Crimes against individual people, like robbery, mugging, personal assault or sexual assault can turn in to in a street fight if the victim try to fight back or if a witness try to catch the perpetrator on tape.
